Incoming raw materials are received, sampled and checked in the in-house VitaLab laboratory before they are approved for use.
Approved ingredients are milled to a consistent particle size, then weighed and blended precisely to each recipe's formula.
Controlled steam pre-cooks the mash, gelatinising starches and improving digestibility while making the process effectively germ-free.
The conditioned mash is cooked under heat and pressure and shaped through a die into kibble, denaturing proteins into a lighter, more digestible form.
Kibble is dried to a stable moisture level, coated with fats and functional ingredients, then cooled before inspection.
Finished food is tested in VitaLab against the recipe's guaranteed analysis, then packed with full batch traceability and an in-house Certificate of Analysis.
Because it is steam-conditioned and extrusion-cooked, more nutrition reaches the body and less passes through — smaller, firmer stools, gentler digestion, and 3,940 kcal ME/kg in the Adult recipe, verified in-house.
